Delete your account
How to have your Posty account and its data deleted, what is removed, and which records we are required to keep.
Last updated
Working draft. This document is published so app stores and partners can read it, and is still going through legal review in each market Posty serves. We will post a new version, with a new date, when that review lands.
The Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) wording is the authoritative version of this document; this translation is provided for convenience.
How to ask
There is no delete button in the product yet. Until there is, email hello@posty.so from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed in with LINE and have no email on the account, send the request from the address you would like us to reply to and include your LINE display name; we will verify who you are before deleting anything.
We aim to confirm within 7 days and to finish within 30.
What is deleted
- Your login: email address, name, profile picture, LINE user id, language and time zone.
- Your creator profile: display name, gender, birth year, country, city, phone number, languages, categories, formats, rate and capacity answers, chat channel and handle.
- Your connected social accounts and everything read from them — handles, follower and post counts, reach, views, engagement rate, audience breakdown.
- Your tax and payout details: legal name, national ID number, business tax ID, address, bank code and account number, and every saved payout method.
- Your campaign work: applications, collaboration messages and attachments, submitted drafts, and the receipts you uploaded.
- Your sign-in links, app session tokens and push notification tokens.
What we keep, and why
Some records are accounting, tax and contract records that Taiwanese law requires us to retain, and deleting them is not something we are allowed to do on request. These survive the deletion of your account:
- Payout and ledger records — payout lines with their gross, withholding, health-insurance and net amounts, the double-entry ledger entries behind them, and the bank batch a transfer went out in.
- Tax documents — the labour-income and withholding statements (勞報單 / 扣繳憑單) issued for money we paid you.
- Signed contracts — the creator contract for each collaboration, and the rights grant it contains, because the brand's licence to use content you already delivered depends on it.
We keep these for at least five years after the tax year they belong to. They are kept for that purpose only: once your account is deleted they are no longer linked to a profile anyone can browse, and they are not used to contact you or to build a picture of you.
Published posts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook or Threads are on those platforms, not ours. Deleting your Posty account does not take them down — you control that on the platform.
While we build the button
An in-app deletion path is an open engineering item. When it ships, this page will say where it is in each app. We would rather describe the route that exists than the one we intend to build.
